More Than a Meal Plan

We don’t just ask, “What should you eat?”

We look at what your body actually needs—and at what may be contributing to how you feel. Because food is one part of a much bigger conversation between your physiology, your mind, and your daily life.

Nourishment + Nutrient StatusAre you adequately nourished? Food as medicine begins with enough of the right building blocks.
Digestion + Gut FunctionHow you break down, absorb, and tolerate food shapes everything downstream.
Blood Sugar + Metabolic HealthSteady energy, balanced meals, and metabolic rhythm—not restriction.
Hormones + InflammationUnderlying contributors, not just isolated symptoms.
Sleep, Stress + LifestyleYour routines, environment, and daily rhythms either support your physiology or fight it.
Nervous System StateA regulated nervous system changes how your body digests, restores, and responds.
Relationship With FoodThoughts, beliefs, and history around food and health matter as much as the food itself.
Body Awareness + IntuitionReconnecting with hunger, fullness, energy, and body cues—so your body can guide the plan.
The Foundation

Nutrition care that looks for the why.

Integrative and functional nutrition is a clinical, whole-person approach to nutrition care. Instead of treating a symptom in isolation — fatigue, bloating, brain fog, stubborn labs — it asks what is driving that symptom, and looks at the systems underneath: digestion, metabolic function, hormones, inflammation, nutrient status, sleep, stress, and the nervous system.

Conventional nutrition advice often stops at a generic meal plan or a single number on a chart. Our registered dietitians practice differently. We take the time to understand your full story — your history, your labs, your lifestyle, and how you actually feel day to day — and then build care around the whole picture, working alongside your physicians and care team rather than instead of them.

None of these systems work alone. Blood sugar affects energy and mood. Gut health shapes immunity, inflammation, and even hormone metabolism. Poor sleep and chronic stress shift appetite, digestion, and metabolic rhythm. A dysregulated nervous system changes how your body digests, restores, and responds to the food you eat. Integrative and functional nutrition is the practice of reading those connections — and supporting them together.

How We Begin

A comprehensive clinical assessment.

Every client begins with a thorough, unhurried clinical assessment with a registered dietitian. Before we recommend anything, we want to understand what your body has been telling you.

Health + Medical HistoryYour diagnoses, medications, supplements, and the story of how your symptoms developed over time.
Laboratory Findings + Nutrient StatusClinical interpretation of your existing bloodwork and relevant labs — and what they suggest about nourishment, metabolic health, and nutrient needs.
Digestion + Gut FunctionHow you digest, absorb, and tolerate food — and patterns like bloating, reflux, or irregularity that point to what needs support.
Hormones, Cycles + Metabolic RhythmEnergy, appetite, blood sugar patterns, and hormonal symptoms across the day, the month, and the season of life you're in.
Sleep, Stress + Nervous SystemHow you rest, how you recover, and how your nervous system state is shaping digestion, cravings, and resilience.
Lifestyle + Relationship With FoodYour routines, environment, preferences, and history with food — so the plan fits your real life, not an idealized one.
Your Plan

Personalized nutrition + lifestyle interventions.

From that assessment, your dietitian builds an individualized plan — medical nutrition therapy tailored to your physiology, your goals, and your life. Depending on what your body needs, that may include targeted nutrition strategies, meal structure and blood sugar support, evidence-informed supplement guidance, digestive support, and practical work on sleep, stress, movement, and nervous system regulation.

Nothing is one-size-fits-all, and nothing is handed to you as a rigid set of rules. Your plan evolves as your body responds — reviewed and refined with your dietitian at every step.

When Testing Helps

Functional testing — when it's appropriate.

For some clients, advanced functional testing adds meaningful clarity. Depending on your history and symptoms, your dietitian may discuss tools such as comprehensive stool analysis (GI-MAP), hormone metabolism testing (DUTCH), organic acids testing, micronutrient testing, or hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA).

Functional testing is never automatically necessary. Many clients make significant progress without it. When testing is clinically useful, your dietitian will explain why, what it can and cannot tell us, and how the results would shape your plan — testing in service of your care, not the other way around.

Working Together

What ongoing support looks like.

Integrative and functional nutrition care is a relationship, not a single appointment. After your initial assessment, you and your registered dietitian meet in regular follow-up sessions to review how your body is responding, interpret any new labs or testing, and refine your plan as life changes.

Along the way, you learn to read your own body — energy, digestion, hunger, mood, sleep — so progress becomes something you understand, not something you have to take on faith. Realistic goals, honest conversations, and steady adjustments: that is what individualized RD support means here.

Our care supports — and never replaces — the medical care you receive from your physicians. We do not diagnose disease or promise cures; we help your body get what it needs to do its best work.

Science + intuition. Body, mind + soul.

The Body to Soul approach combines modern nutrition science with the wisdom and intuition of the body—physiology and nervous system, nutrition and lifestyle, working together.

Health from the cellular to the soulular.
