Living With Dysautonomia

When your body keeps you guessing.

Dysautonomia and POTS can make the most ordinary parts of a day unpredictable. If any of this feels familiar, you deserve care that understands the condition—and takes your experience seriously.

Lightheadedness + Racing Heart on StandingOrthostatic symptoms that shape how you move through the day.
Fatigue + Energy CrashesExhaustion that doesn't match your effort, and crashes after activity or meals.
Brain Fog + Trouble ConcentratingThe cognitive weight of a nervous system working overtime.
Nausea, Bloating + Slowed DigestionGastrointestinal symptoms that commonly travel with autonomic dysfunction.
Post-Meal SymptomsFeeling worse after larger meals—racing heart, fatigue, or lightheadedness.
Appetite + Eating ChallengesEarly fullness, low appetite, or anxiety around eating when symptoms flare.
Heat + Exercise IntoleranceSymptoms that worsen with heat, standing still, or exertion.
The Weight of Managing It AllTracking fluids, salt, meals, and medications is a lot. Support should lighten that load, not add to it.
How Nutrition Can Help

Steady support for a system on high alert.

When the autonomic nervous system is dysregulated, everyday things—standing, eating, sleeping—can feel unpredictable. Thoughtful nutrition and lifestyle strategies can support your physiology and quality of life while you work with your medical team.

Hydration + Electrolyte StrategiesPractical, individualized approaches to fluid and electrolyte intake.
Adequate, Steady NourishmentEnough energy and protein, spaced through the day, to support your body.
Meal Timing + Blood Sugar StabilitySmaller, balanced meals and steadier blood sugar can support symptom awareness.
Digestive Symptoms That CoexistBloating, nausea, and slowed digestion often travel with dysautonomia—we support the gut too.
Energy + Lifestyle RhythmsRealistic routines, pacing, and daily rhythms that respect your body’s current capacity.
Nervous System + Vagal SupportBreath, mind-body practices, and parasympathetic-supportive habits—as a complement to care, never a substitute.
Our Approach to Your Care

Your body has a story. We take the time to listen.

Living with POTS or dysautonomia can affect so much more than you might expect—from your energy and digestion to your relationship with food and everyday life.

We look at the whole picture, connecting your symptoms, nutrition, lifestyle, and medical history to create personalized strategies that work with your body and complement your medical care.

Because your care should be as individual as you are.

Our Signature Framework

The CALM Method for a nervous system on high alert

Because dysautonomia is a condition of the autonomic nervous system, our whole-person framework matters here more than almost anywhere else.

C

Connection

Learning your body's signals and patterns — triggers, early warning signs, and what helps — so symptoms feel more predictable.

A

Alignment

Nutrition strategies aligned with your diagnosis, labs, medications, and your medical team's plan.

L

Lifestyle

Meal rhythm, hydration routines, sleep, pacing, and daily structure that respect your current capacity.

M

Mindfulness + Movement

Breath, gentle movement, and parasympathetic-supportive practices as a complement to your medical care.

Realistic Expectations

What progress can look like

Progress with dysautonomia is usually gradual and rarely linear — and we will never promise you otherwise. What clients often notice over time: fewer post-meal crashes, a hydration and meal routine that feels doable instead of overwhelming, steadier energy across the day, less anxiety around eating, and more confidence reading their own body.

Just as importantly, you have a clinician in your corner who understands the condition, adjusts the plan as your body and your medical care evolve, and coordinates with your providers when appropriate.

Whole-Person, Medically Responsible

Alongside your medical team—never instead of it.

Nutrition does not cure POTS or dysautonomia, and mind-body practices are not a substitute for appropriate medical care. Our Registered Dietitians support your nutrition, physiology, nervous-system regulation, and quality of life in collaboration with the providers who manage your condition.

That includes individualized fluid and electrolyte management when it is medically appropriate—always coordinated with your medical providers, never a one-size-fits-all salt or fluid prescription.

Care is guided by our Integrative + Functional Nutrition approach and The CALM Method.
